Neck Pain

Neck pain is the second most common complaint treated at in this clinic. Similar to low back pain it is common to expect at some point most individuals will experience some degree of neck pain in their lives. Approximately one third of people will suffer recurrent or ongoing neck pain in the longer term.

Neck pain can be caused by many factors such as poor postures at work and at home, sustained long term postures such as working with a laptop on your lap while studying, age related degenerative changes to the spinal segments.

Neck pain that results from trauma such as a fall or from a road traffic accident is known as Whiplash Associated Disorders.

Other types of neck pain can include symptoms such as stiffness, dizziness, arm pain and tingling and heavy headedness. These can all stem from the spinal segments of the neck and associated structures.
